Inside Out Interviews Episode 07: Natasha Giordano
We sat down with Natasha for a quick chat about her upcoming EP “Trilogy of Disjunction”, out on May 4th 2020.
Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
A: I am a London based, Italian-born multi-instrumentalist. My music is an experimental journey through inner places and emotions, and often results in dark and dreamy soundscapes, sweet melodies, analogue drones and hypnotic vocal loops. I also host a monthly show Mirror Sounds on Threads Radio where I explore new ambient/experimental sounds and techno.
Q: What was your idea/motivation behind Trilogy of Disjunction?
A: The idea behind this trilogy is to describe the emotional state of choice under uncertainty. The journey starts with a melodic violin intro ‘The Distance Modulus”, here the listener enters a safe isolated space where can walk slowly into the sweet vocal drones of “Nessuno”, the distorted sounds of uncertainties and anxieties finally lead to the last track “Dear Hollows”.
Q: What gear did you use?
A: Mother 32, Volca Beats, Lyra , Violin and my voice
Q: Who are your favourite artists currently?
A: I don’t have favourites but listen to new releases and experiments almost every day.
