2014 has been a fantastic year for Inside Out Records. The label was lucky enough to have remixes from some of deep house’s largest and most recognised individuals and continuing on the same note they enter 2015 with a feature release from the German power house DJ and producer Roland Appel.
Roland is a regular on Sonar Kollektiv, Aus Music and Poker Flat as well as Compost and Night Moves and Inside Out Records is already familiar with his production and live performance skills as they were lucky enough to have him feature as a remixer on Stevie R’s Lost Little Girl EP.
This 8th EP comprises two feature tracks Zeus and Da Cat. Up first, Zeus is a deep, dark number with supple drums, atmospheric pads and watery percussive sodas that place you in the middle of a very special world. The warm groove rolls along taking you with it and is sure to get many dance floors moving once the colourful synths explode into life.
Next up, Da Cat is a more bulky, beat driven jam with icy hats and wordless vocals making for an oppressive heat. More lush synth smears add essential soul and keep the head as busy as the heel.
With this great new EP then, Inside Out Records is set to kick off 2015 with a very lush, melodic bang!
