Stavros Potamitis was born in 18th September of 1988 and has always had a great interest in music. Introduced to classical music from an early age playing guitar and piano, he moved on to rock sounds during his late childhood and for 6 years now, is pursuing his at most desire as an electronic music producer and dj.
Stavros made his first steps in electronic music by performing as a dj in various venues, culminating in his playing in top tier Greek and European clubs; Ritter Butzke (Berlin), Cavo Paradiso (Mykonos), Loook (Saint Petersburg), Arena Maniace (Siracusa), Rhythm Factory (London), Café 1001(London), Ground 281 (London), Horse And Groom (London), Mommy (Athens) and Animal (Athens) to name a few. He has also organised several events and labels showcases for various renowned clubs in both Greece and UK, collaborating with the best professionals of the field.
His interests in electronic music were not saturated through being a successful DJ and promoter. While in Greece, he also released tracks with established labels like the New York based Plant Music. After graduating from the Department of Telecommunication Engineering in University of Peloponnese in 2012, he made a new start by coming to London to study Sound Engineering and Music Production in Point Blank School of Music under successful musicians, like Ian McKenzie, Kevin Kerrigan, Danny J Lewis, Ian Rossiter and Chris Franck. While in London, Stavros has been involved in the founding of a new label, Inside Out Records. Since this time he has been working successfully in growing this label into a reputable business, established in the digital and vinyl market and accredited by many renowned pioneers of the industry… Stavros and Ian McKenzie are currently collaborating in a new project, which has an ultimate goal to deliver inspired experimental electronic music.
Regarding his taste as a producer, Stavros’s style is based on deep house sounds and draws elements from various genres. His principal focus in production is professionalism of the result and artistic depth of each track, giving his style distinct characteristics and a unique flavor. Many of his projects have met great success worldwide; he has produced “Deep Analogue House” sample pack for Cr2 Records, which reached number 4 in Beatport’s top 10 and his music has been selected for “GIRLS” TV series by the large US channel HBO.
