Birds is the musical project of East London based DJ, Katie Wilkinson. The music is an outcome of new wave 80s goth, techno, psychedelic and world music influences. The name was inspired by the numerous birds she encountered during long, reflective runs through Hackney’s marshes. These are the runs she goes for in preparation for a session in her home studio. Meditation is a huge part of the creative process for her.
